Dr. Jaz Takhar
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Dr. Jaskaran (Jaz) Takhar attended the University of Windsor for his undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, graduating with distinction in 2011. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario, graduating with distinction in 2016. In dental school Jaz had the opportunity to explore his interests in hospital dentistry through externships and was awarded the Elgin Dental Association Award in Oral Surgery.
Upon graduation, Jaz completed a General Practice Residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Through this residency he received training in sedation and management of medically compromised patients.
Since entering private practice in 2017, Jaz has fueled his passion for knowledge by taking extensive continuing education with an interest in implant dentistry. As co-owner of multiple offices, he is practising with a focus on oral surgery, implant dentistry, sedation dentistry and helping patients with severe dental anxiety. In addition, he travels to local dental offices to provide these treatments.
